Exhibiting food waste images at Borough Market

To celebrate 1000 years of Borough Market, photographers a photographic competition was organised called ‘Hungry for Change’, with photographers invited to submit images showing food, or how surplus food can be a ‘creative solution to alleviate food poverty.’

The initiative aimed to fundraise for the charity Plan Zheroes – an organisation that connects businesses that generate surplus food to local charities that could put it to good use.

I submitted 3 images, 2 of which got chosen – the one above, and the one just below. The images will be printed and exhibited at Borough Market from 29th June until 15th July 2015 with a Private View on 27th June 2015. A calendar will also be printed with all sales going to Plan Zheroes.

This will be the first time I’ve exhibited my food waste work in public, so it will hopefully be well received and generate some interest in my Food Is… project on the issue of food waste.
